Senior IT Analyst, DRT Data Engineering team

About this opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst (Expert IT Analyst) to perform hands-on data and requirements analysis. The role also considers broader software-development questions, including alignment with architectural vision, technology-stack improvement, solution simplification, and prioritization.

Main responsibilities focus on the consolidation, harmonization, sourcing, storage, and distribution of Payments Data to other solutions or reporting. The role includes integrations supporting different end-to-end payment flows in the target payment architecture. The team works in an agile way based on SAFe, using Jira and Confluence as core tools.

What you’ll be doing

• Elicit functional and non-functional requirements with stakeholders in a complex environment; go beyond requirements to understand their purpose.
• Work with product owners and stakeholders to clarify, elicit, and translate requirements into implementation specifications.
• Communicate orally and in writing to align a broad range of stakeholders on shared objectives.
• Perform data mapping, data modeling, solution design, and collaboration with information architects.
• Contribute to application solution design, maintainability, and architecture.
• Design near-real-time data pipelines and pipelines for traditional analytics.
• Perform quantitative data analysis to understand identified issues, explain implications, and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with developers and test engineers.
• Build relationships and engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Take responsibility for requirements documentation, including use cases, and quality improvement.
• Access complex, distributed datasets and perform statistical analysis.
• Promote analytical excellence by influencing colleagues, challenging assumptions and legacy ways of working, and promoting best practices across teams.

Your experience and background

• 5 years of experience designing data-intensive solutions, data architectures, and integration patterns.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in the payment domain, including ISO20022, SEPA, SWIFT messages, and banking-sector dynamics.
• Understanding of requirements elicitation techniques and analysis.
• Expertise in translating business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications.
• Experience with AI, including Copilot, LLM, and agentic solutions, and ability to drive new ways of working to deliver faster, more automated solutions.
• Excellent SQL skills using Snowflake, MSSQL, or similar RDBMS.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with experience collaborating internationally across stakeholder groups and cultures.

It is beneficial if you have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or Google.
• Understanding of domain-driven design, event-sourcing patterns, microservices architecture, and clean code.
• Understanding of CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, REST, Maven, and JUnit, plus experience building distributed, highly available, high-throughput applications.
• Experience with scalable data products and enabling users to become data driven.
• Experience participating in the development of agentic solutions.
