IT Developer / Senior IT Developer for GCOP Transaction Reporting

We are looking for a skilled IT Developer / Senior IT Developer to join the GCOP Transaction Reporting area on a full-time employment agreement. In this role, you will help build and maintain solutions that support regulatory reporting towards regulators and other financial institutions.

About our team

Meet the Trading Ops SWD Reporting Team. The team builds high-quality post-trade platforms that support customers. As an IT Developer, you will help shape and develop the future technology landscape within Capital Markets Technology.

The agile team delivers technical solutions that handle reporting of transactions, settlements and position information to tax authorities, central banks, FSAs, trade repositories and other authorities. Alongside keeping existing reporting operational and developing new reports in response to increasing external requirements, the team is simplifying the system architecture and moving data sourcing and processing towards strategic tools and architecture.

Main responsibilities

• Act as a key member of an agile team.
• Design and code robust, well-tested, clean solutions using modern tools and technologies.
• Work mainly with familiar technologies while stepping into new technology areas when needed to help the team meet its commitments.
• Understand regulatory needs and work closely with business stakeholders to shape effective solutions.
• Collaborate with highly skilled developers across different agile teams.

Background and skills

• 3+ years of Java development experience (Java 8+).
• Experience with Kafka, Oracle SQL, Docker and Hibernate.
• Familiarity with Angular, Spring Boot and Gradle.
• Linux and Bash scripting skills.
• CI/CD pipeline experience; Bamboo is a plus.
• Understanding of SSL/TLS and certificate management.
• Fluency in English.
