Analytics Engineer

Senior • On-site

249,996 - 284,400 PLN/yr

Warsaw, Poland

The Data Science & Analytics team turns data into decisions by defining key questions, surfacing answers, and placing insights at the center of product and business decisions.

As a Senior Analytical Engineer, you will work at the intersection of Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science. You will own the end-to-end data foundations for a business domain, turning raw data into reliable, business-ready datasets and defining the business logic and metric standards that support trustworthy AI-powered self-service. You will consume governed Silver tables and produce the Gold and semantic layers that underpin key metrics, dashboards, and Genie spaces.

This role follows an office-centric hybrid schedule, with standard in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Remote work is available on Wednesday and, depending on the work and partner teams, Friday.

What you’ll achieve

  • Own the Gold layer for a business domain such as PLG funnel, marketing attribution, revenue, or NPI/AWM; design and continuously improve curated dimensional data models for downstream dashboards, Genie spaces, and ELT reporting.
  • Implement canonical business logic for core KPIs by translating KPIs into governed, versioned metric marts that resolve reporting discrepancies.
  • Build and curate the semantic layer and Genie spaces for domain self-service, including metadata, documentation, and prompt and metric definitions for plain-language querying through Claude and Databricks Genie.
  • Own the domain metric dictionary as a single source of truth for metric definitions, ownership, and locations; partner across DS&A to maintain consistent overlapping KPI definitions.
  • Author data contracts and SLAs at the Silver-to-Gold boundary; partner with Horizontal Data Engineering on dependencies and own Gold and metric-mart data quality, freshness, and on-call support.
  • Build and maintain certified, board-ready dashboards on governed Gold data; partner with Data Science to create trusted, reusable products rather than one-off solutions.
  • Partner with Product, Business, Data Science, and Engineering to turn ambiguous questions into scalable datasets, anticipate reporting impacts, and improve data-model quality.

About you

  • 4+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related analytics role, with experience independently owning decision-making data models.
  • Advanced SQL and strong data-modeling fundamentals, including dimensional modeling, star and snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, and semantic-layer design.
  • Hands-on experience with a transformation framework such as dbt, orchestration tooling such as Airflow, version control with Git, and modern warehouse or lakehouse platforms; Databricks experience is preferred.
  • Practical experience with data-quality testing and observability, schema management and data contracts, and query and model performance and cost tuning.
  • Domain fluency in at least one area such as PLG funnels, SLG pipeline, marketing attribution, product telemetry, or revenue/ARR, with the ability to turn data-trust concerns into durable model fixes.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills in requirements gathering, prioritization, documentation, enablement, metric-definition alignment, and communicating technical trade-offs to non-technical partners.
  • Curiosity about AI-native analytics, including NL2SQL and metadata and semantic layers for self-service, and using Claude and Genie while maintaining analytical rigor.
  • Exposure to Unity Catalog, Looker/LookML, or reverse-ETL and activation tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, or Gainsight is a plus.

What we’ll offer

  • Generous, transparent, and fair compensation system, including base salary and RSUs.
  • Contract of Employment, with an option for 50% tax-deductible costs for author’s-rights usage in applicable roles.
  • Health insurance with dental and travel coverage.
  • Breakfast and lunch catering on in-office days.
  • Vacation allowance.
  • Career growth budget.
  • Home-office setup budget.
  • Gym or fitness card.
  • Fertility healthcare and family-forming support.
  • Mental health support.
  • Group life insurance.
  • MacBooks with necessary accessories.
  • Estimated base salary range of 20,833–23,700 PLN gross per month, subject to taxes, deductions, market conditions, and individual qualifications. Compensation may also include equity and other applicable components.
