Senior Platform Engineer - Allegro Pay

Join a Platform Engineer role focused on building and improving a first-class developer platform for large-scale financial products used by more than a million people. The environment handles 60+ million requests daily, dozens of terabytes of data, and more than 120 deployments per month.

Working model and compensation

• Flexible working hours in a 4/1 hybrid model, with start times between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
• 30 days of occasional remote work.
• Team based in Warsaw.
• Salary range: PLN 20,500–27,250, depending on skills, under an employment contract with tax-deductible costs.
• Annual bonus based on individual performance and company results.
• Long-term discretionary incentive plan based on restricted stock units.

What we are looking for

• Experience with platform engineering, Kubernetes, and GitOps, including Istio, ArgoCD, and Helm.
• Experience with public cloud services, preferably Azure.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell or Bash.
• Understanding of distributed systems and their design.
• Experience with containerization and cloud computing.
• Interest in building software and tools for other developers.
• Openness to feedback, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Ability to find efficient solutions to users’ needs.
• Willingness to continuously develop skills and knowledge.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java/Kotlin and .NET/C#.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tools for developers.
• Support and improve Kubernetes workloads, including Istio and Argo.
• Design and implement high availability in a multi-region setup.
• Research new technologies, deliver proof of concepts, and document analyses.
• Help product-team developers use the platform efficiently through tools, automation, and integrations.
• Work on one of Poland’s largest .NET and Azure products, with hundreds of microservices and millions of customers.
