Senior Systems Engineer

The mission of the team is to maintain and tune Kubernetes running on-premise and in Public Cloud, along with its ecosystem. The work involves adopting FOSS technology trends and developing custom solutions when suitable FOSS options are unavailable.

Quick Facts

  • Hybrid work model (4/1), with working hours starting between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Requirements

  • Proven real-world experience with Linux, especially Ubuntu: storage management, installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies, including Docker and Containerd.
  • Daily use of Git and Bash.
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/UDP, HTTP, and SSL.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to solve complex technical problems from start to finish.
  • English and Polish proficiency at minimum B2 level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automation experience using Terraform.
  • Public Cloud concepts and experience with GCP, Azure, or AWS.
  • On-premise Kubernetes experience, including building environments and analyzing and troubleshooting issues.
  • Familiarity with Helm, Calico, GitLab/GitHub, Vault, Consul, BGP, or Argo.
  • Programming experience with Python or Golang.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain production Kubernetes systems running on-premise and in Public Cloud.
  • Work in accordance with the GitOps philosophy.
  • Automate and optimize tools related to team operations and the Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • Build and implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Create and develop custom tools according to team needs and requirements when FOSS options fall short.
  • Participate in daily meetings, handle backlog tasks, and resolve business-critical issues as they arise.
