Allegro Pay develops purchase-financing and payment methods used daily by customers of Allegro. The work supports financial solutions at large scale, serving more than 2.5 million people, handling over 60 million requests daily, and managing dozens of terabytes of data.

The role

Join the team responsible for the core financial system—the source of truth for customer and loan data. Focus on improving system performance, scalability, and reliability; designing and delivering new capabilities; and continuously improving code quality and maintainability.

Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Accounting and Controlling teams, to understand needs and translate them into robust technical solutions.

Working arrangement and compensation

  • Flexible hybrid working model (4/1), with start times between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
  • 30 days of occasional remote work.
  • Team based in Warsaw.
  • Salary range: PLN 11,200–15,250, depending on skills.
  • Annual bonus based on individual annual performance and company results.

Requirements

  • Experience in .NET backend development.
  • Practical experience with SQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to understand broader business context and communicate effectively with internal clients.
  • High sense of responsibility and resilience when working with critical financial data.
  • Openness to actively using AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot, to optimize coding tasks.
  • Independence and ownership of features from delivery through completion.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, constructive feedback, and improving ways of working.
  • Effective team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and contribution to a supportive engineering culture.
  • Fluent Polish for daily communication with business stakeholders.
  • Communicative English at B2 level or higher.
