Engineering Manager (Fullstack Team) - Allegro Ads

Work model: Flexible hybrid working hours (4/1), with start times between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., plus 30 days of occasional remote work. The team is based in Warsaw.

Role overview

Lead the Campaign Intelligence team of 6 engineers and testers, driving core features of the advertising platform.

The team builds and owns the command center for campaign configuration—the critical first touchpoint for advertisers and partners launching advertising campaigns. The role focuses on improving advertiser experience through a simplified, intuitive UX, building merchant loyalty, and developing automated and AI-driven campaign solutions that help advertisers improve performance with minimal manual effort.

Guide the team as it expands its architectural scope and takes on broader full-stack responsibilities to independently deliver end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and support an engineering team while fostering technical excellence and product ownership.
• Oversee development of the core campaign management platform, including campaign setup, budget updates, automated campaign creation, and AI-driven features.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to ensure technical deliverables provide a seamless, simple end-user experience.
• Guide architectural decisions across the stack, from TypeScript frontend views to Java/Kotlin backend APIs and database optimizations.
• Support daily team operations and ensure high-quality, reliable software delivery.

Requirements

• Experience managing, mentoring, and growing engineering teams in a full-stack environment.
• Strong technical background and deep expertise in Java/Kotlin backend architecture.
• Ability to remain hands-on when needed, with a solid understanding of TypeScript frontend complexity.
• Strong business acumen and product-oriented mindset, able to translate high-level business needs into actionable technical strategy.
• Proactive collaboration and excellent communication skills in an autonomous, cross-functional environment.
• Fluency in Polish and good command of English.
