About the role

As part of the Reinsurance Life and Health Tower, you will be responsible for RI Life and Health Solution Delivery, driving the transformation of project delivery and product management for business units across North and South America, Europe, and Asia.

In the data and digital section, the team delivers data-driven, automation, and digital initiatives for Reinsurance Life and Health businesses. By leveraging data analytics and AI, it develops and supports solutions for client-facing and internal operations.

As an Architect for Advanced Analytics, embedded in a cross-functional team of solution architects, you will lead data definitions and support the design and engineering of appropriate, tightly integrated, flexible, and fault-tolerant data repositories and systems. You will ensure a consistent end-to-end data architecture and high data quality, and support the design of governance, management, and operational processes needed for a regulatory-compliant data ecosystem.

How you will get the job done

• Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure cloud-based architectures for data solutions, ensuring high availability and performance, including Azure, Databricks, and Kubernetes.
• Design modular platform architectures that integrate current and emerging technologies.
• Create platform architectures with modularity and abstraction boundaries that accommodate technologies not yet available or only existing as research prototypes.
• Define enterprise data models and end-to-end data architecture from ingestion through transformation to consumption, ensuring consistency, lineage traceability, and fitness for analytics and AI workloads.
• Support the design and operationalization of data governance processes, including data quality frameworks, data cataloging, ownership models, and stewardship workflows aligned with the overall data strategy.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient, automated model deployment and updates.
• Maintain architecture documentation, including design patterns, best practices, and cloud service configurations.
• Ensure platform architecture complies with industry standards and regulations and incorporates data privacy and security best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI/ML products, data-processing paradigms, and next-generation cloud services, and turn evaluations into actionable architectural recommendations.
• Collaborate with development teams, business stakeholders, and other architects to integrate data, AI, and cloud services into the wider application landscape.

Skills and experience you will need

• Fluency in English.
• University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Several years of IT architecture experience focused on data solutions and AI technologies.
• Proven experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including data lakes, cloud storage, containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies at early maturity stages.
• Strong experience in data architecture and data modeling across the full data lifecycle; familiarity with C4, arc42, and data lineage tooling.
• Experience with data governance, data quality management, data cataloging, and metadata management tools.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, encryption, access control, and regulatory compliance.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in Python or R; experience with AI/ML libraries such as Hugging Face, OpenAI, and LangChain, and with PowerBI.
• Familiarity with LLM techniques, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI databases.
• Active engagement with the evolving AI/ML landscape, including agentic systems, advanced reasoning architectures, and next-generation data-processing paradigms.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to quickly assimilate new technology paradigms, adapt architectural approaches, and make sound design decisions under technological uncertainty.
