A new state-of-the-art 16-bed Neuro ICU opened in 2026 and includes an expanded patient-care area supporting craniotomies, neurointerventional work, and complex strokes. As a regional referral center, the nearest hospitals with this type of unit are in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Akron. The physician will join an established and growing neuroendovascular program. The Neuroscience Institute includes 2 employed neurosurgeons, 2 employed neurointerventionalists, and an employed neurology team. Scheduling is 7 days on, 7 days off. The hospital is a Level I Trauma Center with Primary Stroke Plus and thrombectomy-capable designation and more than 350 inpatient beds. The Neuroscience Institute offers a biplane angiography suite, O-arm-equipped surgical suite, and dedicated specialty units including neurocritical, surgical intensive, neuro-spine, and stroke. Two additional new Primary Stroke Centers in the market are creating a hub-and-spoke stroke program.
