Position Summary
Recruiting a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon to serve as the clinical leader of the Vascular Surgery program. The physician will develop and expand vascular services, increase program volume, and enhance regional access to advanced cardiovascular care.
The role supports a high-volume patient-care environment delivering comprehensive cardiovascular and vascular treatment. The ideal candidate is committed to excellent patient care, multidisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and quality-driven program growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Vascular Surgery program.
- Grow vascular and endovascular service lines and strengthen the regional market presence.
- Provide comprehensive vascular surgical care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Collaborate with cardiovascular specialists, interventionalists, and referring physicians to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in quality-improvement initiatives and outcome-driven patient-care strategies.
- Work within the Heart Institute to build on the infrastructure of a system-wide vascular network.
- Contribute to program development, physician education, and community outreach.
Clinical Expertise
The candidate should be proficient in a broad range of vascular procedures, including:
- Open and minimally invasive endovascular procedures.
- Endovascular aortic interventions.
- Surgical procedures, including endarterectomy and bypass grafting.
- Dialysis access management, vascular disease management, and emergent vascular conditions.

The program participates in a Level 1 Vascular Emergency Program, providing system-wide care for patients presenting with:
- Acute aortic syndromes.
- Acute limb ischemia.
- Pulmonary embolism.
When necessary, patients may be transferred for definitive evaluation, advanced intervention, and ongoing management.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Board Certification in Vascular Surgery.
- Current unrestricted Georgia medical license or eligibility for licensure.
- Demonstrated expertise in open and endovascular vascular procedures.
- Commitment to quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and program growth.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Desire to help develop a program within an established heart and vascular program.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa-waiver sponsorship is available.

The 97-bed acute-care community hospital provides 24-hour emergency services and major medical, surgical, and diagnostic care. Services include cardiac care, diagnostic imaging, heart and lung care, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, women’s services, orthopedic and sports medicine, sleep, wound and hyperbaric care, outpatient care, surgical services, and rehabilitation services.
