Seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatrician to establish and lead a new Pediatrics Department. This is an opportunity to design and grow a program serving families across western North Dakota, where demand for pediatric services continues to rise.
Join a supportive team that includes one Pediatrician and one Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, alongside on-site Primary Care, Internal Medicine, and Women’s Health providers. With more than 600 babies delivered annually at the hospital, dedicated pediatric care is needed to shape the future of children’s health in the community.
Position Highlights
- Department-building role: opportunity to grow and shape the pediatric program from the ground up
- Clinic schedule: flexible — 4x10s or 5x8s per week
- Call schedule: currently 1:3, moving to 1:4 with additional hires
- Patient volume: 15–20 patients per day in clinic
- Hospital responsibilities: direct admissions to Level II Nursery; higher-acuity cases transferred to Bismarck or Fargo
- Procedures: circumcisions, intubations, newborn resuscitation, and c-section attendance; no conscious sedation in clinic
- Clinic setup: located on the hospital campus with a dedicated office, shared procedure room, and 3–4 exam rooms
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary (1.0 FTE): $328,304
- wRVU threshold: 6,636 annually
- wRVU conversion factor: $49.47 per wRVU (70th percentile nationally)
- Forgivable loan: up to 10% of salary as a starting loan, forgiven over 3 years
