Eligibility • Completion of an ACGME-approved Internal Medicine residency program. • Board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. • Completion of an ACGME fellowship in Transplant Hepatology is preferred. • Preference for clinical liver-transplant program experience and sufficient training to qualify as a UNOS primary physician for a liver transplant program. • Preference for education or experience in medical administration and clinical research. Clinical Duties • Provide timely outpatient clinic coverage for new and established patients. • Provide endoscopy services, including ERCP if trained, for pre- and post-transplant patients. • Participate in inpatient call, not exceeding one in three weekends. • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and program-associated conferences and meetings. • Collaborate with transplant physicians to ensure 24-hour service coverage. • Provide in-person or telephone consultations to referring physicians during clinic business hours. • Work with three advanced practice providers supporting care delivery. Requirements • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology and/or Hepatology. • Unrestricted Tennessee MD or DO license, or ability to obtain an unrestricted license. • U.S. ACGME residency.
