The mission is to deliver high-quality therapy to help early learners communicate, improve social skills, and prepare for academic success.

Sandy Springs Program: Operations Leadership Development Program (LDP)

A two to three year operating apprenticeship designed to grow the next generation of center, regional, and senior operations leaders.

Location: Tysons, VA based initially, with rotational placement at centers across Maryland, Virginia, and DC. Travel is expected.

Reports to: VP of Operations, with a dotted line to an executive program sponsor.

Start Date: Cohort start dates in July and January. Some flexibility for the right candidate.

Why Sandy Springs

The Sandy Springs Program is designed to develop operational leaders from the ground up through hands-on experience running centers, managing operations, and leading teams. The program prepares participants to progress from learning center operations to leading regions and senior operational functions.

Role Overview

The Sandy Springs Program is a two to three year operating apprenticeship for high-potential operators who want to lead businesses. Participants are developed through a structured sequence of placements with increasing scope and P&L responsibility.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working directly within centers and supporting day-to-day operations
  • Building schedules and managing authorization workflows
  • Running parent meetings and supporting family experience
  • Hiring and managing RBTs and center staff
  • Managing operational metrics and P&L performance
  • Solving cross-functional operational problems
  • Building operational processes and meeting cadences

Program Structure

Phase 1: Learn the Business (Months 0 to 6)

  • Rotations across clinical, intake, scheduling, RCM, HR, and center operations
  • Structured curriculum covering ABA, Speech, OT, Psychology service delivery, payor and authorization mechanics, scheduling utilization, workflows, family experience, and unit economics
  • Project ownership tied to a center or operational function
  • Weekly cohort sessions and monthly meetings with executive sponsors

Phase 2: Run a Center (Months 6 to 18)

  • Direct responsibility for a center generating approximately $2M to $8M in annual revenue
  • Management of teams ranging from 20 to 80 staff members
  • Ownership of utilization, authorization conversion, compliance, retention, family NPS, and contribution margin metrics
  • Partnership with Clinical Directors on quality and outcomes
  • Hiring, coaching, developing, and managing team members
  • Monthly business reviews with leadership

Phase 3: Lead at Scale (Months 18+)

Potential paths include:

  • Regional Director overseeing multiple centers
  • Lead operator for new market launches
  • Senior corporate operations leadership roles

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 to 6 years of professional experience in operations, consulting, military leadership, multi-site services, healthcare, banking, or high-growth operating environments
  • Demonstrated leadership of people or projects
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with Sheets and Excel
  • Ability to read and understand P&L metrics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work on-site in centers and relocate if required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multi-site healthcare services, ABA, behavioral health, pediatrics, or related industries
  • Familiarity with payor dynamics, authorizations, and revenue cycle operations
  • MBA, military service, or equivalent leadership development experience
  • Prior experience managing a business unit, store, branch, or operational team
  • Experience with rapid expansion or new site launches
