Description

This is a locum tenens Nurse Practitioner assignment in Cardiology for a 13-week term, including scheduled shifts plus on-call coverage. The NP will assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and manage chronic conditions. The role also includes patient education, procedure performance within NP scope, coordinated care with physicians and teams, and thorough documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnose/treat medical conditions

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions

• Provide patient education and lifestyle counseling

• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty

• Collaborate with physicians and other providers for coordinated care

• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

• MSN degree focused on an NP specialty

• Active and unencumbered APRN license in Washington

• National NP certification in a relevant specialty area (e.g., AANP)

• At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience (preferred)
