Description

Provide comprehensive cardiac care across inpatient and outpatient settings in a float pool. Perform and interpret diagnostic testing such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests, and develop treatment plans for cardiovascular conditions. Additional interventional/catheterization duties may apply depending on subspecialty.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive cardiac care in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform diagnostic procedures (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests)
• Interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans
• Perform cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures when applicable
• Educate and counsel patients on heart disease prevention and risk reduction
• Coordinate care with nurses, surgeons, and other specialists
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records
• Stay current with advancements in cardiology

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Internal medicine residency training accredited by ACGME or AOA
• Board certification in cardiology by ABIM or AOA
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Washington
• Cardiology fellowship training (may be preferred)
• At least 1 year of clinical cardiology experience (preferred)
