Description

Manage a portfolio of full-stack and distributed systems projects and lead teams of developers to deliver cloud-based solutions for the Navigator Platform. You will drive technical strategy and transformations, mentor engineering talent, and influence multi-year roadmaps while collaborating with product and architecture leaders. The work supports Auto Navigator and Lead Navigator capabilities that improve auto financing and lead management experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of technology projects and manage a team building distributed microservices and full-stack systems for regulatory needs
• Mentor engineers; stay current with technology trends and evaluate/learn new technologies; occasionally contribute code
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud solutions for customer experiences
• Lead engineering teams using Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services
• Lead multiple Agile engineering teams/programs and ensure delivery of large-scale cross-functional initiatives
• Partner with product, architecture, and platform leaders to define multi-year technology roadmaps and investment priorities
• Develop Lead Engineers and manage succession planning and scaling leadership capability
• Drive alignment between engineering execution and enterprise goals; influence portfolio trade-offs
• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of large-scale distributed and cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience with public cloud platforms or virtualization technologies
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Hybrid role requiring adherence to on-site presence policy

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience leading architectural design reviews and shaping enterprise technical standards
• Experience with database and database management systems
• Experience with AWS tools or virtualization technologies
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing frameworks
• Experience with Git-based version control systems (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket)
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues within cloud environments
• Experience contributing to open-source frameworks
• Experience with front-end JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
• Experience creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs
• 9+ years coding with more than two of: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Springboot, SolidJs
• Experience leveraging modern AI-based coding tools and IDE copilots
• Experience managing multi-team engineering organizations or leading strategic technical programs
• Experience defining and tracking engineering OKRs aligned to business outcomes
• Experience presenting technology roadmaps and investment cases to executive leadership
