Description

You will join the Single Family New Technology Adoption team to research and implement strategic technical capabilities and enable large-scale adoption of best practices. The work includes leading technical and architectural decisions across system design, infrastructure strategy, and configuration optimization, while designing microservices-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and architectural decisions for system design, infrastructure strategy, and configuration optimization
• Analyze business requirements and architect microservices solutions leveraging Java/JEE frameworks, modern UI technologies, Docker, and AWS
• Provide guidance on high-level design to ensure alignment with approved architecture
• Develop software using spec-driven development principles
• Research, implement, and promote best practices for wider adoption
• Own problems end-to-end and facilitate appropriate handoffs
• Collaborate with other IT teams to identify win/win opportunities and improve efficiency
• Influence technology decisions with business partners and IT management through negotiation and stakeholder management

Requirements

• 5-7+ years hands-on enterprise software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on Java and/or Python development in agile, distributed teams
• 5+ years of front-end and orchestration layer development (Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Python frameworks, Angular/Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS)
• 3+ years designing and implementing large-scale microservices using container orchestration frameworks
• 3+ years with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and caching technologies such as Redis and EhCache
• Experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS (IaaS/PaaS/custom code and/or SaaS integrations)
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins and Cucumber; Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket) and Git
• Performance tuning and enterprise-grade production application design/development/support
• Familiarity with AWS Document Processing capabilities (Textract, Comprehend, Bedrock Data Automation)
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent; advanced studies preferred
• Good communication skills with business and IT stakeholders
