Description

Join the Ledger team to build the system of record for a global economy. You will design, build, and scale ledger services that accurately track every movement of value, ensuring balance, auditability, and correctness. You will own both write and read paths and help drive reconciliation, balances, history, statements, and analytics from a single source of truth.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Finance, product, and other economy engineering teams to ensure every movement of value is correct at the source.
• Architect, design, implement, and operate ledger services that record every movement of value.
• Proactively identify and address correctness, performance, auditability, and operational risks.
• Design idempotent, exactly-once write paths and reconciliation that proves books balance and precision guarantees.
• Own both the write path that records value and the read path that serves balances, history, and analytics.
• Uphold high standards for code quality, test coverage, and maintainability.

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable systems (e.g., microservices, APIs)
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience debugging complex distributed systems issues
• Experience managing projects and planning across different workstreams
• Strong collaboration skills; ability to work across teams and mentor junior engineers
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field
• Highly desirable: financial infrastructure, ledgers, accounting, or accuracy-critical domain experience
• Strong plus: experience building a ledger or double-entry system
• Plus: large-scale data or analytical systems experience (OLAP, event-driven pipelines)

Benefits

• Annual base salary range: $196,750–$243,290 USD
