Description

Build and own the data platform used across the organization. Create end-to-end data paths from source to action and back to observed outcomes, including pipelines, shared data models, APIs, feedback loops, quality checks, lineage, and monitoring. Use AI coding tools and agents to accelerate implementation, debugging, and testing while verifying results with strong engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams to understand needs and turn recurring requests into shared data services and interfaces
• Build data pipelines and services to collect, transform, and deliver data to operational, analytical, and AI workflows
• Implement robust handling for retries, duplicate events, late-arriving data, and replay
• Capture business events and state changes with identifiers, schemas, and history across the customer journey
• Build closed feedback loops that connect decisions and actions to outcomes for experiments and model/agent evaluation
• Add quality checks, lineage, and monitoring to detect missing/stale/inconsistent data and trace failures to sources
• Connect legacy and new systems while improving data models and contracts and validating migrations safely
• Provide datasets, APIs, and retrieval interfaces with clear permissions, provenance, and freshness
• Use AI tools during implementation, debugging, and testing; own deployment, performance, cost, and operational documentation

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience operating production systems (testing, APIs, failure handling, maintainable design)
• Strong SQL with practical experience in data modeling, pipelines, and data-serving systems
• Strong Python experience building and operating production data pipelines, integrations, and services
• Experience with event-driven/distributed systems: schema evolution, idempotency, replay, consistency
• Ability to independently deliver reliable production solutions from an incomplete brief
• Practical experience using AI coding tools/agents with accountability for generated work
• Ability to learn business domains, question assumptions, and communicate trade-offs in English
