Description

Architect and build foundational ads systems that reliably serve Roblox’s massive scale. Drive performance improvements to ads serving and delivery infrastructure and expand measurement capabilities for new immersive ads experiences. Collaborate across ML, backend, and analytics to shape future ads infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship ads products used by hundreds of millions of users

• Develop backend services that scale to billions of products and transactions

• Design and implement attribution models and identity matching solutions at scale

• Integrate with third-party measurement partners for insights like view-ability, brand safety, audience reach, and verification

• Develop and optimize audience segmentation and management systems (demographic, interest, behavioral, lookalike)

• Serve as a tech lead and mentor junior engineers

• Self-organize and own projects end-to-end

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development and shipping complex products to production

• Proficiency in one or more systems programming languages: C#, Go, Rust, Java, C++, or Python

• Knowledge of REST, gRPC, distributed systems design, scalable containerized systems, and microservices

• Experience with Kafka, Flink, Redis, and distributed SQL/NoSQL databases

• Starting base pay range: $196,750–$243,290 USD (dependent on factors such as background, experience, and location)
