Description

Design, build, and optimize a next-generation Research Platform that turns an extensive financial dataset into actionable insights. Work across the stack—big data processing in Databricks, backend services in Python/Java, and web technologies—supporting enterprise risk calculation engines and private fund analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Work across the stack with Python, Databricks, Java, and web technologies
• Take projects through the full software lifecycle: design, architecture, prototyping, development, release, iteration, and monitoring
• Build new systems and improve existing ones, from small fixes to large projects
• Partner with researchers and product managers to shape platform direction
• Share knowledge via design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience with Python or Java
• Experience designing and operating production systems
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical collaborators
• Helpful (not required): experience with Databricks/Spark or other large-scale data processing
• Helpful (not required): experience with web application development
• Helpful (not required): familiarity with financial data, risk analytics, or investment concepts

• Market-based compensation: base salary plus bonus, equity, and benefits
• Base salary range (US): $134,000—$209,000 USD
