Description

Provide back-office and patient-related clinical and clerical support under the direction of a clinician to help deliver high-quality patient care. Assist with workflow, prepare patients for exams, and support implementation of the medical plan of care through strong patient interaction and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support providers and the patient care team with clinical and clerical tasks
• Help ensure smooth patient and departmental workflow
• Prepare patients for examinations
• Take vital signs and administer injections
• Interpret data and follow instructions in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled formats
• Explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
• Manage time, prioritize assignments, and follow standardized operating procedures
• Use Microsoft Office tools and an electronic health record (EHR) to support documentation and workflow
• Work independently and as part of a team in a high-interruption environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant program graduate (diploma within 90 days) or Medical Assistant externship completion (160 hours)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification
• 1 year of recent relevant experience
