Description

Provide electrophysiology services to diagnose and treat electrical abnormalities of the heart, including arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation. Perform electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, and device implantations, and manage implantable cardiac devices through routine follow-ups and troubleshooting. Coordinate with the broader cardiology team and deliver emergency care for life-threatening arrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation

• Perform EPS, catheter ablations, and implantable device procedures (pacemakers/defibrillators)

• Manage and troubleshoot implantable cardiac devices

• Collaborate with cardiologists and cardiothoracic teams to optimize patient care

• Provide emergency care for life-threatening arrhythmias

• Maintain accurate medical records

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Internal medicine residency training (ACGME or AOA)

• Cardiology fellowship with a subspecialty fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology

• ABIM board certification in cardiovascular disease plus clinical cardiac electrophysiology certification

• Active and unrestricted Arizona medical license

• At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience (preferred)
