Description

Provide cardiac anesthesia coverage at an academic medical center for open heart surgery, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases. The role includes cardiac anesthesia and perioperative echocardiography/TEE as required for each case. Multiple providers may be considered for the November 23–29, 2026 coverage period.

Responsibilities

• Deliver anesthesia care for cardiac surgical cases

• Cover open heart surgery, thoracic procedures, vascular procedures, and structural heart cases

• Provide general OR coverage as needed

• Perform perioperative echocardiography and TEE in coordination with clinical needs

Requirements

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology

• TEE certification

• Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE) Testamur Status or equivalent

• Documented cardiac anesthesia experience

• Advanced echocardiography credentials

• Ability to complete credentialing in approximately 60–90 days

• Nebraska license preferred; IMLC accepted (providers requiring additional licensure will be considered)
