Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon (Locum Tenens)

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; minimum 2 weeks per month

• Patient volume: ~10–12 inpatients and up to 17 clinic patients/day

• Credentialing: ~60–90 days

Description

Board-certified cardiothoracic surgeons are needed for coverage that balances clinic, operating room time, rounding, and call. You will manage both cardiac and thoracic surgical cases independently within an established cardiovascular surgery program supported by APPs, RNFAs, nursing staff, and another cardiothoracic surgeon. Robotic surgery experience is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage across clinic and the OR

• Perform rounding and participate in call

• Independently manage cardiac and thoracic surgical cases

Requirements

• Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon

• ACLS and BLS (AHA)

• Experience/competency with CABG, aortic valve repair and replacement, mitral valve repair and replacement, ascending aortic root procedures, TAVR, lung resections, lobectomies, and mediastinoscopy

• Pennsylvania license preferred; IMLC candidates accepted with LOQ
