• Schedule: Recurring weekend coverage beginning January 2027 (Friday 5:00 PM–7:00 AM, then 24-hour call on Saturday and Sunday)

• EMR: Epic

• Coverage setting: Hospital-based, independent anesthesia coverage supported by CRNAs and anesthesia technicians

• Board certification: Board Certified Anesthesiologist

Description

Provide independent, hospital-based anesthesia coverage for a broad mix of surgical and procedural services on a recurring weekend schedule starting January 2027. Coverage is supported by CRNAs and an anesthesia technician team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver anesthesia care independently for Orthopedics, Labor & Delivery, Spine Surgery, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Urology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Bariatric Surgery, and Vascular procedures

• Maintain recurring weekly weekend coverage to address staffing shortages

Requirements

• Board Certified Anesthesiologist

• BLS certification

• DEA required

• Proven ability to provide independent anesthesia coverage for the listed services/procedures

• Credentialing completed in approximately 60 days

• Iowa medical license preferred; IMLC accepted; willingness/ability to obtain Iowa licensure

• Availability to submit for recurring weekend coverage beginning January 2027
