Description

Provide 100% telemedicine Infectious Disease inpatient consultation coverage to support hospitalists and nursing teams. Evaluate patients, recommend Infectious Disease treatment plans, and complete follow-up consultations as clinically appropriate. Document consults and recommendations in Meditech Expanse; optional outpatient telemedicine visits and infusion-related recommendations are available.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Infectious Disease consultations remotely using Teladoc technology

• Evaluate patients and provide treatment recommendations to hospitalists and nursing teams

• Perform follow-up consultations as clinically appropriate

• Collaborate with 24/7 hospitalist coverage and dedicated nursing staff

• Recommend patients who may require IV antibiotic therapy through the outpatient infusion center

• Document consultations and recommendations in Meditech Expanse

• Optional: provide outpatient Infectious Disease consultations via telemedicine

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease

• Eligible for medical licensure and credentialing in Missouri

• Ability to provide high-quality patient care through a telemedicine environment
