Description

This locum tenens Nurse Practitioner assignment provides surgery oncology coverage in an acute care hospital with scheduled shifts and no call for 13 weeks. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, individualized treatment plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, prescribing medications, and thorough documentation. You will also provide patient education and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers for coordinated care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat medical conditions

• Develop individualized treatment plans

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions

• Provide patient education and lifestyle counseling

• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty

• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for coordinated care

• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

• MSN degree focused on an NP specialty

• Active, unencumbered APRN license in California

• National NP certification in a relevant specialty

• Relevant clinical experience (at least 1 year preferred)
