Description

Provide locum tenens gastroenterology coverage with continuous 24-hour call beeper support plus scheduled office and endoscopy procedure responsibilities. Manage adult patients with a typical daily ratio of about 1:15–20, documenting care in Epic EMR. Orientation hours are payable.

Responsibilities

• 24-hour beeper call coverage

• Deliver gastroenterology care during weekday office hours (8:00 AM–4:00 PM)

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures during weekday procedure hours (7:30 AM–3:30 PM)

• Provide adult-only patient management for a broad range of GI conditions

• Complete documentation and care coordination using Epic EMR

Requirements

• MD with Gastroenterology specialization

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology

• Active New York medical license in hand

• Minimum 2 years of recent GI experience

• Proficient in upper and lower endoscopy

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Epic EMR experience required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Clean and up-to-date work history with no gaps greater than 30 days

• If any malpractice history exists (dismissed or otherwise), a physician statement is required
