Description

Provide weekday daytime locum tenens coverage for adult gastroenterology in an acute care hospital. You will evaluate and manage patients with gastrointestinal and internal medicine conditions, coordinate specialty consults, educate patients, and document care to regulatory and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Clinical evaluation and management of gastrointestinal and internal medicine patients

• Follow-up care and ongoing monitoring

• Coordinate specialty consults with GI and internal medicine teams

• Provide patient education

• Document care in accordance with regulatory and quality standards

Requirements

• Licensed Physician Assistant (PA)

• Active New York license

• Minimum 3 years of recent gastroenterology or relevant internal medicine experience

• BLS certification

• Epic EMR experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Up-to-date work history with no gaps over 30 days

• Physician statement required for any malpractice history
