Description

Board-Certified Gastroenterologist needed for a locum tenens opportunity providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient GI services, including clinic, endoscopy, hospital rounding, consultations, procedures, and 24-hour call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology coverage
• Conduct hospital consultations and inpatient rounding
• Perform inpatient and outpatient GI procedures
• Cover outpatient clinic and perform procedures at the outpatient endoscopy center
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage (weekend/evening/night as applicable)
• Manage adult patients (18+), including admissions and follow-up care
• Collaborate with another Gastroenterologist within the practice
• Document patient care using Epic EMR

Requirements

• MD/DO required
• Board certification required
• Gastroenterology experience required
• Washington medical license required by start date (pending licensure may be considered if obtained before the assignment begins)
• Proficient with Epic EMR
• Comfortable providing inpatient and outpatient GI care
• Prior locum/travel experience preferred
