Description

Provide comprehensive neurosurgical consultation and management for inpatient and outpatient cases, including urgent and emergent conditions. Cover 24-hour call shifts and collaborate with the lead neurosurgeon and multidisciplinary team while performing procedures appropriate to training and granted privileges. Typical cases include spine trauma, spinal infections, cervical spine conditions, compression fractures, and subdural hematomas.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical cases

• Manage urgent and emergent neurosurgical conditions

• Provide trauma and complex neurosurgical consultations

• Participate in 24-hour call coverage

• Perform appropriate neurosurgical procedures based on training and privileges

• Collaborate with the lead neurosurgeon and multidisciplinary team

Requirements

• MD/DO specializing in Neurosurgery

• Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS)

• Comfortable providing 24-hour call coverage

• Active North Dakota license preferred

• IMLC candidates considered with active LOQ in hand at submission

• Spine experience preferred

• Aneurysm clipping experience preferred

• Procedural requirements reviewed with the lead neurosurgeon during the interview
