Description

Build maintainable, well-tested back-end software in C#/.NET, taking substantial technical work from requirements through production rollout and ongoing operation. Translate ambiguous requirements into system designs and design documents, and improve scalability, testing, and observability by resolving bottlenecks and recurring issues. Partner with product and engineering to shape technical direction, share expertise via pairing and code/design reviews, and support production systems through on-call.

Responsibilities

• Write production code for complex features and critical systems within your product area

• Design and implement solutions from ambiguous requirements to working software

• Deliver complex work end to end: discovery → rollout → ongoing operation

• Improve performance and reliability, including scalability, testing, and observability

• Support teammates via pairing, debugging, and constructive code/design reviews

• Collaborate across product, engineering management, QA, and partner teams

• Evolve development standards, CI/CD, and delivery processes

• Participate in engineering on-call; provide escalated support and apply incident learnings

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with Senior/Lead/Staff-level delivery

• Deep expertise in C# and .NET; proven track record with reliable, high-performance web applications

• Experience designing and implementing complex systems and making architecture decisions

• Strong judgment for system design, performance, reliability, and maintainability

• Experience with relational databases, caching, and cloud infrastructure

• Track record of mentoring and helping engineers grow

• Clear communication of technical decisions and tradeoffs

• Computer Science/Information Systems degree (or equivalent practical experience)
