Description

You will develop and evolve backend applications that provide REST APIs for a telecommunications product catalog. The project uses modern Java (21+) and Spring Boot, integrates with databases and external systems, and runs on Kubernetes. You will handle API design and documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger), implement validation/error handling and security, and maintain automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and develop REST APIs and business logic

• Build backend services in Java 21+ using Spring Boot / Spring

• Design API contracts and maintain documentation in OpenAPI/Swagger

• Integrate with databases and external systems, including data mapping and transformation

• Implement data validation, consistent error handling, and API authentication/authorization

• Create and maintain unit and integration tests

• Ensure code quality, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance

• Collaborate with analysts and architects on requirements analysis and solution design

• Work with the DevOps team to deploy on Kubernetes and diagnose issues after release

Requirements

• Practical experience building Java backend applications and knowledge of Java 21+

• Hands-on knowledge of Spring Boot / Spring, especially building and securing APIs with Spring Security

• REST API design/implementation skills: HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, response codes, validation, and error handling

• Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger for API contract documentation

• SQL and relational databases knowledge; experience accessing data from Java applications

• Knowledge of Git and Maven

• API security knowledge using OAuth2/OIDC and JWT (authentication and authorization)

• Ability to write automated tests (unit and integration) using JUnit, Mockito, or Testcontainers

• Knowledge of Java application containerization and Kubernetes deployment (images, Deployment, Service, ConfigMap, Secret, readiness/liveness probes)

• Ability to verify deployments and do basic Kubernetes diagnostics (pod status, log analysis)

• Ability to deliver development tasks independently and collaborate with analysts, architects, and DevOps

• Ability to work with AI for designing, implementing, and testing code
