Description

Develop and maintain backend services in Java and Spring Boot, including REST API design and integrations between systems. Implement asynchronous messaging/event-driven integrations, handle PostgreSQL data modeling with migrations, and ensure security and personal-data protection. Maintain code quality with automated tests and contribute to API standards and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java/Spring Boot backend applications
• Build REST APIs and integrate systems
• Model and manage data in PostgreSQL, including schema versioning via migrations
• Implement asynchronous communication using queues/message brokers and event-based integrations
• Deliver security and data protection features (authentication, authorization, GDPR/RODO)
• Create automated tests (unit and integration) and ensure code quality
• Work within established standards; participate in their evolution (API contracts, architectural decisions, reviews, CI/CD)

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Very good knowledge of Spring: REST, Spring Data/JPA, Spring Security
• PostgreSQL/SQL: data model design, queries, migrations
• REST API design and usage
• Experience with asynchronous communication/message broker
• Conscious use of AI tools in development (e.g., coding assistants)
• Automated testing, Git, CI/CD, Docker
• Understanding of architectural patterns (layers, basics of DDD)
• Polish proficiency for team work and documentation; technical English
