Description

You will build and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs in Java (Spring Boot) that power client-facing portal applications. You will model data and integrate with relational and NoSQL databases, coordinate API contracts with front-end developers, and deploy services in containerized environments. The role includes secure coding, unit/integration testing, CI/CD contributions, continuous improvement of performance and reliability, and production issue investigation with on-call/support rotations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable Java backend services and RESTful APIs (Spring Boot)

• Model data and integrate with relational and NoSQL databases

• Collaborate with front-end developers on API contracts and seamless integration

• Deploy and run services in Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift environments

• Apply secure coding practices, write unit and integration tests, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines

• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability

• Investigate and fix production issues, including on-call/support rotations

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical design discussions

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend development experience with deep expertise in Java

• Hands-on Spring Boot experience

• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs

• Container and orchestration experience (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift)

• Solid SQL skills (relational data modeling and query optimization)

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
