Description

You will design, develop, and maintain Java backend applications, including REST services built with Spring Boot and integrations between systems. The role includes unit and integration testing, supporting deployments to test and production environments, and monitoring logs, performance, and service availability. You will also improve CI/CD and automate development and operational processes using Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java backend applications
• Create and evolve Spring Boot REST services
• Analyze business and technical requirements and co-create solution architecture
• Design and implement integrations between systems
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, and business/technical teams
• Support deployments to test and production environments
• Monitor application operation; analyze logs, performance, and availability
• Diagnose and resolve application and environment issues
• Develop and improve CI/CD processes and automate developer/ops workflows
• Use Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions in the software delivery process

Requirements

• Very strong Java knowledge
• Practical experience with Spring Boot and REST services
• Knowledge of design patterns, Clean Code principles, and good programming practices
• Experience designing and implementing system integrations
• Relational database knowledge and SQL
• Experience creating unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito)
• Knowledge of software delivery in Agile methodologies
• Experience working with Git
• Ability to perform code reviews and ensure code quality and security
• Ability to diagnose application performance issues
• Basic or practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure services for hosting and monitoring
• Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD processes
• Knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and fundamentals
• Experience deploying applications with ArgoCD
• Ability to analyze logs and metrics and identify incident causes
• Experience troubleshooting deployment- and runtime-related issues in container environments
• Automation mindset for build, test, and deployment processes
