Description

Provide patient-facing check-in/check-out support to patients and guests, ensuring exemplary customer service while following organizational policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests, confirm identity, and provide information related to their visit
• Complete check-in and check-out functions
• Confirm and update patient identification and demographic/insurance information
• Complete patient registration as needed
• Obtain patient consents/authorizations
• Collect co-payments, past due balances, and point-of-service payments
• Post payments, process billing information, and perform end-of-day cash drawer closing
• Keep waiting areas clean and comfortable
• Inform patients of delays or changes in appointment status
• Schedule appointments as necessary
• For Immediate Care Clinics roles, float to other ICCs/departments; may perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 0 to 2 years of experience in a customer service position
• Working knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
• Bilingual (preferred)
