Description

Senior Communications Specialist roles support creating communications plans and executing them for assigned focus areas. The role emphasizes activation expertise—understanding how plan elements and the latest channel options work together for maximum impact—while coordinating with internal stakeholders for flawless delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support managers and Communications team members in developing communications plans and execution
• Create and manage communications strategies for assigned focus areas (physician communications & special projects, patient communications, or leader communications/newsletters)
• Write, edit, and plan communications content; ensure timeliness, relevance, and engagement
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams and subject matter experts to gather input and finalize content
• Manage multiple projects and competing priorities on tight timelines
• Apply health literacy, plain language, and health equity principles to make communications readable and inclusive
• Use Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI tools responsibly to support communications planning, writing, editing, and reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 4–6 years of experience in communications, project management, or related work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong project management and organizational skills; attention to detail
• Proven experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
