Description

Build and run the applications and services that deliver advertiser reporting metrics and business insights. Design and implement low-latency, highly available backend services and data pipelines, including secure distributed data processing, while improving query performance and strengthening resiliency and security in production.

Responsibilities

• Build foundational pieces of the next generation of Apple’s Ad Platforms

• Collaborate with product management to define external APIs for Advertiser Reporting

• Design and implement performant backend services and data pipelines

• Build shared capabilities (e.g., Authentication, Authorization) to support internal and external partners

• Implement low-latency, highly available, high-volume advertiser-facing systems in a cloud environment

• Engineer secure and scalable distributed data processing systems

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience building scalable microservices or data-driven platforms

• Strong computer science fundamentals

• Experience with Java/Scala/C++ (or equivalent)

• Expertise in relational datastores (e.g., Postgres, Oracle)

• Expertise in NoSQL datastores (e.g., Cassandra, DynamoDB)

• Proficiency in data processing technologies (Kafka, Spark, Flink)

• Experience crafting scalable microservices

• Familiarity with cloud paradigms (AWS or GCP)

• Proven ability to solve sophisticated problems and build reliable systems

• Strong problem solving and debugging skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams

• Desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
