Description

Build and own a production data platform that makes data available across products, operations, marketing, finance, and AI applications. Deliver end-to-end paths from source data to action and back to observed outcomes using pipelines, shared data models, APIs, closed feedback loops, and monitoring/quality checks. Use AI coding tools and agents to investigate, implement, and test changes while applying engineering judgment and verifying results.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams to turn recurring needs into shared data services and interfaces
• Build pipelines and services to collect, transform, and deliver data reliably (retries, duplicates, late-arriving data, replay)
• Capture business events and state changes with proper identifiers, schemas, and history
• Create closed feedback loops linking inputs/decisions/actions to outcomes for experimentation and evaluation
• Add quality checks, lineage, and monitoring to detect missing/stale/inconsistent data and trace failures
• Connect legacy and new systems while improving data models and contracts
• Build datasets, APIs, and retrieval interfaces with clear permissions, provenance, and freshness
• Own deployment, performance, cost, and operational documentation; ensure systems are maintainable by others

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience operating production systems (testing, APIs, failure handling, maintainable design)
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling experience for operational and analytical use
• Strong Python skills for production data pipelines, integrations, and services (testing and maintainable code)
• Go familiarity is useful
• Experience with event-driven/distributed systems: schema evolution, idempotency, replay, and consistency; choose batch vs streaming as needed
• Proven ability to deliver production systems from ambiguous starting points, including debugging and trade-off decisions
• Practical AI coding tools/agent usage with engineering judgment, accountability, code review, and testing
• Ability to learn business domains and communicate trade-offs in English
