Description

Build and improve systems that ensure every DME order has verified coverage before it ships. Work on real-time payer eligibility checks and architect solutions to parse messy, inconsistent insurance data to reduce claim denials and eliminate manual overhead. Lead technical decisions across application and data modeling while maintaining stable, high-performing services.

Responsibilities

• Develop in an agile environment using TDD and flexible pair programming
• Collaborate with Product and Design to scope features, evaluate tradeoffs, and implement reliable workflows
• Drive key technical decisions for application and data model design
• Maintain stable, performant application stacks
• Deliver readable, well-tested, maintainable code aligned to clear outcomes
• Contribute to an on-call rotation and improve system reliability and availability
• Use AI developer tools and evaluate coding assistants/automation to speed delivery and reduce defects
• Own integrations with payers and clearinghouses, including retries, failure modes, and keeping data current
• Design payer/plan data mappings and measure accuracy against supplier billing
• Partner with Product, Ops, and supplier stakeholders and write technical narratives to align the organization

Requirements

• 7+ years of production engineering experience with Ruby on Rails or other open source languages (Python, Golang, JavaScript)
• Staff-level engineering experience including technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring
• Revenue cycle experience in eligibility and benefits, claims, billing, or prior authorization
• Must reside in the U.S.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
