Description

You will take functional responsibility for the organization’s AI portfolio and lead its strategic and technical evolution. You will translate requirements into user-oriented AI solutions with a clear focus on cloud technologies, guiding initiatives from idea to production, scaling, and governance. You will evaluate AI technologies and solution approaches, ensure secure and rule-compliant AI usage, and coordinate internal and external stakeholders to communicate vision, roadmap, and results.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI portfolio and drive its strategic and technology development

• Translate requirements into user-centric, cloud-focused AI solutions

• Support the end-to-end lifecycle: idea → production → scaling; coordinate with Engineering, Data/ML, IT Security, Architecture, and business units

• Assess AI technologies and approaches to support architectural, cloud-service, data, and model decisions

• Ensure secure and compliant AI deployment, including data protection, information security, and AI governance

• Coordinate stakeholders and represent AI vision, roadmap, and outcomes to different audiences

• Promote AI adoption across the organization and develop AI competence and a data-driven working style

Requirements

• Multi-year practical experience with AI and Machine Learning technologies; experience conceiving, implementing, or significantly driving technical AI solutions

• Solid understanding of modern software, data, and ML architectures; strong knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud-based AI services

• Experience steering complex technical projects/products and aligning technical and business stakeholders

• Excellent communication, moderation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to explain complex technical matters clearly

• Strategic and conceptual thinking with pragmatic implementation mindset

• Very good German and English proficiency (written and spoken)

• Optional (preferred but not required): experience as Software Engineer, Data Scientist, or ML Engineer; knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD, APIs, Observability; experience with Azure/AWS/GCP AI/ML services; knowledge of AI Governance/Responsible AI and regulatory requirements; experience with platform solutions in B2B or similarly complex stakeholder environments
