Description

You will take technical ownership of reliable, secure, and scalable cloud and AI-enabled services, including on-call responsibility for business-critical applications. You will design and implement AI-enabled environments and end-to-end AI workflows (including agentic AI, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation), while defining and improving observability and operational practices. You will guide teams in adopting AI responsibly and help modernize services toward container-based architecture using Kubernetes and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud and AI-enabled services, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation

• Define and improve observability across logging, monitoring, alerting, SLOs, incident response, resilience, cost control, and production readiness (focus on Google Cloud)

• Design and implement AI-enabled environments and production-grade AI workflows

• Translate business and operational needs into sustainable technical solutions; identify dependencies, risks, and improvement opportunities

• Provide expert guidance to users and engineering teams; resolve complex platform issues and support adoption of environments and tools

• Own development, test, and production platform implementation and lifecycle

• Drive architecture- and security-aligned technical decisions based on evidence and long-term value

• Share knowledge through reviews, guidance, and raising engineering quality

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience in IT operations, SRE, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure; proven ownership of complex production environments

• Strong DevOps/operations expertise for support, maintenance, deployment, automation, and platform administration

• Deep Google Cloud operations experience (AWS/Azure knowledge is a plus)

• Advanced troubleshooting skills with ability to interpret logs, metrics, and traces

• Strong practical knowledge of Linux/Unix environments

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Git-based repository management

• Experience designing, integrating, or operating AI-enabled solutions (generative AI services, agentic workflows, RAG)

• Ability to make sound technical decisions in a regulated environment balancing innovation with security, resilience, governance, and maintainability

• Lead-by-doing mindset (hands-on delivery plus practical guidance and knowledge sharing)

• Clear communication and stakeholder management skills; fluency in English
