Description

Lead an engineering squad building next-generation search and secure workflow features—covering search, custom fields, metadata, views, and workflow capabilities. You’ll empower and mentor web and backend engineers, drive architecture and technical decisions, and align work across squads through action plans. You’ll also contribute to code via feedback and pair programming, with dedicated “Manager Hack Weeks” for quarterly deep technical work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a squad of web and backend engineers; unblock, celebrate, and grow their impact
• Advocate for engineering excellence; contribute to application architecture and high-level structure
• Create action plans to align workstreams across squads and eliminate communication gaps
• Partner with product, design, user insights, and QA to shape and sequence squad engineering work
• Provide technical leadership and be accountable for technical decisions
• Grow and retain a high-delivery team in an agile environment
• Co-own squad strategy with product/design and senior partners
• Drive culture and process improvements across engineering

Requirements

• Full-stack engineering mindset and strong technical leadership
• Experience delivering projects with multiple engineers and multiple squads
• Experience with people leadership and providing formal and informal feedback
• Ability to foster an inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment
• Broad experience across the web application stack and related technologies
• Track record of delivering performant, high-quality software and secure, hardened code
