Description

You will manage two cross-functional engineering teams and ensure effective delivery of business value in a growing SaaS product organization. The role includes building people development paths, mentoring Lead Developers and Scrum Masters, optimizing software delivery processes with Lean and Agile/Scrum, and improving engineering standards like code quality and reducing technical debt. You will collaborate with Product Managers and architects on roadmap planning and technology priority setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering teams: build career paths, run regular 1-on-1s, evaluate performance, and retain talent

• Collaborate with Product Managers and architects on product roadmap planning and technology prioritization

• Optimize software development processes (Lean, Agile/Scrum) and monitor delivery efficiency metrics (e.g., DORA metrics, Cycle Time)

• Support recruiting and scaling of software teams

• Maintain high engineering standards: code quality and reduction of technical debt

• Mentor and support Lead Developers and Scrum Masters

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of IT management experience (Engineering Manager/Software Development Manager or Tech Lead with strong people management)

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Technical Lead

• Experience building, scaling, and managing software teams (10+ people)

• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban and software delivery performance metrics (e.g., DORA, Cycle Time)

• Practical experience working with Cloud or ChatGPT

• Excellent English (spoken and written) at least B2

• Strong soft skills: empathy, relationship building, and conflict resolution
