• Role: Engineering Manager (engineering domain ownership)

Description

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to take ownership of an engineering domain and drive predictable, high-impact delivery. You will lead delivery and product partnership, coach and grow engineering teams, and set technical strategy across architecture alignment, technical debt, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, roadmap, and ensure end-to-end delivery accountability

• Provide onboarding and regular 1:1s; support personal coaching

• Improve team efficiency and product quality

• Contribute to the technological development roadmap

• Ensure technical feasibility and drive architectural decisions

• Maintain predictable execution and accountability

• Define processes and metrics for market-ready products

• Bridge product vision and engineering execution

• Partner with Product Managers to assess feature value and decide what to build vs. simplify/skip

• Manage and track costs; manage cost-efficiency

• Cooperate with other internal teams

Requirements

• 5+ years building modern web applications in a commercial environment

• 2+ years managing teams and individuals (performance evaluation, meeting facilitation, career paths)

• Knowledge and understanding of sport rules

• Strong knowledge of SDLC and delivering

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with architecture and software design patterns

• Experience identifying people’s needs and talents

• Well-balanced results orientation and people orientation

• Strong interpersonal skills and fluent English (B2 at least)

• Ability to balance technical debt vs business goals

• Ability to work with high autonomy and responsibility
