Quick Facts

  • Role: Technical Lead, Simulation Engineer

  • Team: Lead a 6-person simulation delivery squad with 5 distributed junior-to-mid engineers

  • Focus: Build a scalable Simulation Foundation Platform

  • Hours: 8am–5pm

  • Education: Bachelor’s

Description

Lead daily technical execution and delivery for a distributed simulation engineering squad building a common, scalable Simulation Foundation Platform. Architect and develop core components hands-on with NVIDIA Omniverse, OpenUSD, Omniverse Nucleus, and Isaac Sim, using Python and C++. Integrate cloud GPU infrastructure, ROS2-based scenario orchestration, rendering/sensor models, and automated QA into a unified platform—while driving AI-native engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily execution: sprint task assignment, code reviews, and resolve technical blockers across distributed workstreams

  • Build platform components using Omniverse/OpenUSD/Isaac Sim; develop extensions (e.g., NVIDIA Kit Extensions)

  • Integrate tracks: distributed GPU infrastructure, containerization/orchestration, scenario orchestration frameworks (ROS2), rendering/sensor models, and automated QA suites

  • Create and optimize 3D asset ingestion pipelines, multi-GPU rendering throughput, and real-time physics simulation performance

  • Standardize AI-native engineering practices using AI-assisted coding tools and agentic workflows for faster development, testing, and automated scenario generation

Requirements

  • 5+ years hands-on software development; 1–2 years in a technical lead/team lead/sprint coordination role

  • Proven hands-on production experience architecting and implementing within the NVIDIA Omniverse platform (including OpenUSD, Omniverse Nucleus, and Isaac Sim)

  • Advanced Python; solid working proficiency in C++ for high-performance simulation modules/extensions

  • Ability to guide technical integration across distributed GPU infrastructure, containerization, and orchestration

  • Working knowledge of scenario generation and robotics middleware (ROS2, DDS, SIL/HIL test harnesses)

  • Working knowledge of physics and rendering simulation (Omniverse RTX, PhysX, CUDA, synthetic sensor modeling for Camera/LiDAR/Radar)

  • Experience with automated testing and verification

  • Daily, practical experience using AI-assisted developer workflows (LLM code generation and agentic tools) to accelerate delivery

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package: medical, prescription, dental, vision, AD&D, and life insurance (eligibility-based)

  • Short-term disability and 401K plan (eligibility-based)
