Description

Support backend application design and development for complex enterprise Java systems and services. Build and migrate applications using Java (11/17/21) and Spring Boot, rewriting legacy Java and helping architect microservices and new APIs to reduce technical debt. Optimize Oracle database production/performance, and support middleware (WebSphere) and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business system analysts and technical SMEs to inform code structure and business logic
• Design and develop backend services with Java 11, 17, and 21 using Spring Boot
• Support migration of legacy systems; rewrite legacy Java and architect microservices and new APIs
• Support middleware using WebSphere
• Analyze database production and performance to optimize Oracle workflows and data consumption with DBAs and support specialists
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Maven and Jenkins

Requirements

• In-depth experience supporting backend application development using Java 11 and/or 17
• Heavy Oracle or other relational database-focused support work
• Experience supporting web service and application migration projects
• Ability to present to client stakeholders
• Ability to obtain a federal clearance post hire
