Description

Develop and maintain scalable backend applications and RESTful services using Java and modern development practices. You will design and implement new functionality, modernize and optimize existing codebases, and build/integrate REST APIs with other components. You will also write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and help resolve technical, performance, and production incidents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend applications and services
• Design and implement new functionalities based on business and technical requirements
• Improve, modernize, and optimize existing codebases
• Develop and integrate REST APIs; cooperate with other application and platform components
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code, including unit and integration tests
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, performance problems, and production incidents when required
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, architects, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle
• Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and continuous improvement of development processes

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in Java development
• Strong knowledge of Java 17+ and object-oriented programming principles
• Practical experience with Spring or Spring Boot and building backend applications or RESTful services
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL
• Experience with Git, automated testing, and standard software development practices
• Familiarity with microservices, messaging systems, and cloud technologies (advantage)
• Analytical approach to problem solving, good communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team
• Good command of English for comfortable communication in an international technical environment
